Konarak Dance and Music Festival
Urvasi Dance Company performed at the 21st Konark Dance & Music Festival, February 19-21, 2006 at the Konark Natya Mandap, Arka Vihar, Konark, Orissa.
Shivani Mohapatra opened with the Thali Naca. That was followed by Vadya Pallavi with Aimee Machiels, Ruth Nelson-Moore, Kristina Ching, and Mary Drew. Shivani soloed again for Sthayi, followed by Vasanta Pallavi by Aimee Machiels and Ruth Nelson-Moore.
Musicians accompanying the dancers were: Sri Ghana Shyama Panda and Srimati Minati Bhanja on voice, Dhaneswar Swain on mardala, Ramesh Das on violin, Jyoti Mishra on sitar, and the flautist Jabahar Mishra.
